Because hematomas can be a very wide diversity of things, and tumors cannot. For instance, a bruise is a type of hematoma... and a bruise is definitely not a tumor. A hematoma is a collection of blood, and a tumor is an abnormal growth... so it wouldn't be just blood. It's basically a pocket a collection of blood probably caused by some kind of trauma
