Why is a woman treated unfairly?

Another view:Historically, women don't get as much pay for the same job as men, they are not taken as seriously as men are in the work place, and they have to work twice as hard on the job to prove themselves. Nor do they get the same respect on the job as men do.

Also, many wives and mothers who are employed, not only have to go to work, but they are also responsible for the majority of the errands, housekeeping, cooking, child rearing, etc. If a wife/mother is employed outside the home, then these responsibilities should be shared equally between her and her partner.

Many men also think of women as less intelligent as men are, which is SO wrong. But, that aside, there is also a difference between "intelligence" and "smart", and women are both. And women need to stand up for themselves and show men that we are actually the backbone of this country. The men who are chauvinist need to ask themselves where would they, and this country, be without women?

Also, some men still tend to think of women as nothing more than sex objects and convenient maid services.

I will add though, that we have come a long way in the last few decades, and also, not all men feel women are inferior to them. There are many men who do respect women, and who treat them with the fairness and respect they deserve.

Because many people see men as the superior gender, which they are not, and women are treated unfairly because they are seen as the inferior gender because men control everything, unfortunately, and a lot of people see women as a maid for the man to use as he pleases and cook and clean and have babies. Hopefully soon we'll have our first women president and this will be taken care of much faster. Since girls are smarter than men in most subjects except sports because honestly, it's a bunch of idiots running around in silk shorts after a ball.
