If you apply the force directly horizontally on a flat plane, then putting the object on an inclined plane and applying force the same direction as before will still be applying force directly horizontally. Not if the only force on it is the force of gravity.
Force magnifier... It's basically a lever which pivots around the sharp bend in the metal. This amplifies the force applied to the long arm.
an inclined plane works because greater distance but less force.
