Why is bible important to us?

The Bible chronicles Jesus's life, what Christians believe to be the beginning of the world, it lines out how Christians are supposed to pray, what they should do to enter heaven, and how to be an acceptable christian. People interpret the bible in different ways, because there can be deeper meanings to some verses. The bible is meant to be a guideline for Christians. The bible was written a very long time ago, parts of it even before Jesus was born. Some denominations of Christianity take the bible more seriously than others, and some reject the bible all together, but still claim to be Christian. Personally, I think that the bible should be followed pretty strictly, but Christianity is considered very flexible by some people. The bible provides the basis for some laws, and the ten commandments, something brought up in the book of exodus, are very important as a guideline for most Christians. The ten commandments were found by Moses on the top of Mount Sinai, and they are ten rules for Christians to follow. The actual ten commandment's whereabouts are uncertain today, but what they said was written in the bible. The bible is a symbol for Christians in what they believe in. If you're not Christian, this doesn't really apply, but I'm sure the Bible has influenced how people act, but this can never be proven. The Bible has probably indirectly influenced everyone, just as the Qur'an (Islam) does and the Vedas (Hinduism).
