CAVITATION is the process of formation of vapour bubbles of flowing fluid in a region where the pressure of the liquid falls below its vapour pressure and the sudden collapsing of these vapour bubbles in region of high pressure. where SUPERCAVITATION IS THE CONTROLLED FORM OF CAVITATION WHICH HELP US TO attain more underwater speed
Air trapped in a hydraulic system will decrease efficiency and increase wear on the system. Motors will run at a decreased efficiency and cylinders will seem spongy feeling and not produce the same pushing forces. Pump wear will increase, and cavitation will occur.
yes
Hydrodynamic Cavitation can occur in any turbulent fluid. The turbulence produces an area of greatly reduced fluid pressure. The fluid vaporizes due to the low pressure, forming a cavity. At the edges of the cavity, small amounts of vapor break off. These form smaller cavities 100 nm to 3 mm in diameter. The smaller cavities implode under the high pressure surrounding them. This process of formation and collapse is called cavitation.
the pump develops pressure to have the ability to make a flow of a gas or fluid take place through a vessel, pipework or valve system, as long as there is an open end to the pipe system or vessel allowing distribution of fluid to an outlet or a return pipe back to the pump body.
Vapor pressure is the main factor in determining cavitation. Vapor pressure is a dependent on temperature. A pipes diameter becomes a main factor because it directly reflects the velocity of the pipe. Velocity is an important factor in determining cavitation in a pipe since it effects the velocity head for a piping system. If the velocity head is to great it could decrease the pressure inside of the pipe causing cavitation. Example: For a given pipethe flow will constant for. However the velocity in the pipe is dependent on its diameter. This is because velocity is based on the ratio of flow to area. Flow will not change but based on the diameter of the pipe it will have a different velocity. If the pipe had varying diameters the velocity will vary as well. Higher velocities will be at areas where the diameter is small and slower at areas where the diameter is larger.
No, it is not. It may cause cavitation.
diabettes,cancer,frostbite,antrax and breakage of bones
cavitation is caused when vapour pressure in the fluid in higher equal to the surrronding presure. in the case of centrifugal pump, when the hydraulic pressure (due to height) in the fluid falls below the vapour pressure of the fluid itself, cavitation wil occur.
Emerson Cavitation Tunnel was created in 1949.

The cavitaion index across a valve or pipe fitting is defined as the ratio of difference between upstream pressure and vapor pressure to the pressure drop across the valve or fitting. The index at which incipient cavitation, damage, or choked flow occurs is based on testing and depends on the type of valve or fitting.
A cavitation plate is the adjustable metal plate that runs along the bottom of the transom on a V-drive. Some people call the flat metal plate on an outboard or outdrive a cavitation plate but the correct name is anti ventilation plate and cavitation and ventillation are not the same. It is similar in function to Trim Tabs. A cavitation plate is used to adjust the trim of a V-Drive and keep the nose on the water. Here is a link to a picture on PerformanceBoats dot com In this picture of a V-drive, the cavitation plate is anodized red.
One disadvantage of using a one pipe heating system is that what?

Not with air! Run water in pipe at highest elevation of pipe and see that water drains at end of pipe system.
