cholesterol is bad..... think of cholesterol as oil that's in your bloodstream not really mixing with it cause its oil. now if that cholesterol finds any irregularities in the vessels and gets stuck then other chol. can attach to it and get stuck. now this may take years but eventually this closes off a vessel (usually in the heart) and then u have a heart attack and the tissue that was getting blood from blocked off artery dies. yes ... dead tissue in your heart.... ur right ... it doesnt sound good. 99% of everyone that has ever had a heart attack was because of cholesterol. don't ask about the 1%. but on the same token the liver makes chol. so you cant get rid of it all... u can only accentuate the good chol and suppress the bad chol.
