I don't know but could we have an answer soon because I need it for a project!! Thank you! The equator has an equatorial climate because of the angle to the sun. It is only found 5 degrees north or south to the equator. An equatorial climate is where it is hot and wet all year round, this provides the most luxuriant vegetation found in the world. Annual rainfall averages out at about 2000 mm per year. Tropical rainforest are found in the equatorial climate, and 1,000 types of trees are found there too. Because the sun is right above it, so the sunbeams on the equator are spread over a relatively small area, which makes them heat it up faster.
