The straight answer to this is that if you heat solid gold to a temperature of 1100°C it will melt to form a liquid.I think though, that 'liquid gold' might be a term that is used to refer to crude oil, because if you can find crude oil it is a way to become very rich very quickly!- - - - -There's a furniture polish called Scott's Liquid Gold. It's made out of mineral oil and naphtha.(presumably because it made Mr Scott very rich very quickly! {joke} )
