because peace is LOVE - there is no fear in love

Answer

Where there is fear there can be no peace. There will always be conflict in the mind whether to destroy that which is feared or to live with it. True peace is where there is no fear, but love and respect for ones neighbor. A person makes their own fear by imagining that which is not there, that which will happen which may upset the balance of peace, and a fearful person are their own worst enemy. Fear and peace cannot exist side by side the same as peace cannot exist through fear.

Why is fear needed for peace?

Fear is not absoutely necessary to establish or maintain peace. Unfortunately, many governments use fear tactics as a way to control their people. The idea is that if people are afraid, they will look to a source of strength (i.e., the government) to protect them. Consequently, when the perception of a strong government saturates societal thinking, it appears unwise to argue or fight against it. People become afraid of the very government that protects them. Because they fear their government, they do nothing (i.e., "keep the peace").

How does being positive build peace?

Insecurity is based in fear. Confidence or being positive lacks fear. Fear and peace do not co-exist.The Christian scripture reference is: There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.1 John 4:17-19Therefore, if you have no fear, you will be confident and have peace. Your peace builds peace in others because the reason we condemn or want to hurt others is out of our own fear of not getting our needs met.
