To have a democratic society freedom of speech IS needed. Not to have it would mean a society where people can not protest or write/say anything bad concerning the government.
Freedom of speech is extremely good in a democratic society. If people are going to be able to participate in the process of government, they need to be able to share their thoughts on political subjects. Dictatorships, in comparison, always try to restrict speech, so that no opposition to their rule can even be expressed.
A claim of value asserts that something is good or bad, right or wrong, or has intrinsic worth. For example, stating that "freedom of speech is essential for a healthy democracy" reflects a claim of value, as it evaluates the importance of freedom of speech in relation to democratic principles. This claim invites discussion about its significance and implications in society.
Its a good movie
Simple. Freedom. Freedom to succeed and freedom to fail. Freedom of religion, & speech.
Freedom of speech has gone to far by letting everyone get there way for good and for bad.
Freedom. Freedom of speech, religion, press, all kinds of freedoms.

That's a good question. It suggests that a totalitarian society might be less exposed to terrorism. But first, your answer; yes a democratic society has vulnerabilities that expose it to terrorism. A more open society provides for freedom of movement, freedom of association, freedom of expression and other freedoms that persons seeking to do evil can exploit. While there are measures that any society can take to reduce the abilities of terrorists democratic societies must take into account their own responsibilities to their fellow citizens in protecting their freedoms. Further, the terrorist is attracted to attack free societies because his true nature isn't establishing his personal moral and philosphical being but the urge to destroy others due to his own personal short-comings.

Limits of freedom refer to the boundaries that restrict individual liberties to ensure the rights and safety of others and the collective good. These limits are often established by laws and social norms, balancing personal freedoms with responsibilities and the rights of others. For instance, freedom of speech is limited by laws against hate speech or incitement to violence. Ultimately, while freedom is a fundamental right, it is not absolute and must be exercised with consideration for the impact on society.
A perfect society is · Peace · Tolerance · A good standard of living for everyone. · Freedom to do what you want without hurting other people · Stability · Rich culture: art and other forms of expression and entertainment. · Equality · Freedom of speech · Fairness ·
