Benefits
Globalisation enables greater trade and competition between different economies, leading to lower prices, greater efficiency and higher economic growth - and it has also enabled increased levels of investment. It has made it easier for people to attract short term and long term investment (investment by multinational companies can play a big role in improving the economies of developing countries). These countries also gain from globalization as it offers access to foreign capital, global export markets, and advanced technology; while breaking the monopoly of inefficient and protected domestic producers.
While globalization may confront government officials with more challenging decisions, the result for their citizens is greater individual freedom.
There is arguably less cultural diversity
Problems
However developing Countries often struggle to compete with developed Countries.
One problem of globalization is that it has increased the use of non-renewable resources, whilst also contributing to the increase in pollution and global warming. There is also less control on output as firms can outsource production to where environmental standards are less strict.
Globalisation enables workers to move more freely. Therefore, some countries find it difficult to hold onto their best skilled workers, who are attracted by higher wages elsewhere.
There are many benefits and many drawbacks ill just go on benefits though Benefits are that cultures can learn from one and another. Competition always makes thing better and with globilization means that your competiting against everyone. Companies compete to make the best and cheapest product so as a consumer this is a benefit.
There are always two sides of an argument -- pros and cons. In general, capitalists embrace globalization because it expands the market and lower the labor cost, supposedly picking the most efficient ways to produce and sell at a profit. The down side is that jobs move overseas to less-developed countries faster than new jobs replacing the ones that disappear. Why would I, a capitalist, mind whether a person loses his job and cannot find another of higher or the same pay? Let the person fend for himself -- it is a free country, isn't it? The devil is in the detail -- one hundred people with 99 job openings does not mean the person who is unemployed has 99% chance of finding another job; to that unemployed person, he does not have new income and that is 0% for him.
The people in a less-developed country has the upside of globalization too -- improving standard of living. This improvement is a good humanitarian practice.
