Going to school has become to national law because illiteracy became too much of a problem. Many people were dropping out of school to work or simply because they were too lazy to put in the work. So our government decided to pass the law that all people must attend school to a certain age to make sure everyone receives the appropriate education and have the ability to learn how to read and write.
