1) bad bulb - try switching them
2) bad ground
It could be a bad bulb, a bad ballast, or a bad ground.
on our 99, i have to remove the headlite assembly to get to the horn. there is one on each side
Fuse is bad for that side.. Check it, under the hood fuse box. Just fixed mine.
Headlights have two filaments, one for dim, one for bright. From your description it appears that one of the high beam filaments is burned out. Replace the bulb.
You change the bulb for the right headlight the exactly same way as you changed the left only opposite. If you are replacing one headlight, even if the other still works it is best to replace them in pairs, for lights can dim and if you have a bright bulb and a dim bulb you could be in danger of distracting other drivers and causing an accident.
not very long.. they are really crap... i have one and its very dim...
Check for bad grounding of light socket or the wrong light bulb
In a lamp you can have three settings with two filaments. One filament is for dim. When it is on, the bulb is dim. One filament is medium. When only it is on, the light is medium. When both filaments are on, the bulb is bright. In auto and motorcycle applications headlamps can have 2 filaments. A 'dip' beam and a 'High' or 'Main' beam. When the High Beam is on the Dip is off and vice versa.
Check ground circuit Make sure bulb is not burned out
2000 dodge ram wiring rear end tail ligts dim and right blinker works but very dim
No, the headlights are dual-beam so there is one bulb on each side for both low and high beam. See related links which further highlights this point.
One or more of the instrument cluster lamps may be burned out. These lamps can be a real pain to replace, so you may want to check the service manual to find the procedure for replacing them. burnt bulb
