Although hostility is a psychology issue, it is tried to the Cardiovascular system for many different reasons.

Have you ever gotten extremely mad, or been rejected? What do you feel like?

You start to get hot, Breathing heavier, Your heart rate increases. These are all signs that you adrenal and nervous system is kicking in (Fight or Flight, in hostility it is usually fight.)

When this is triggered the sensory cortex of the brain through the hypothalamus to the brainstem. It send of signals to inject your body with acetylcholine, and adrenal flashes. both causing your blood vessels to be restricted to where it will be necessary such as your Heart, brain, legs, eyes, ears, and anything that will help you in that situation.

To sum it up, the adrenaline rush that your body has injected into you causes your heart rate to increase as well as many other things in your body.
