because apple wants to control you, think 1984 where the double think Nazis want to brainwash you. Like in the apple commercial where every one is forced to conform, that's iTunes imposing big brother control over what you can see.
Yes, you can. If you download the iTunes for PC from Apple.com, you can download songs and movies off of iTunes on a PC.
Put iTunes on the PC. Use the same iTunes account that is on the Mac.

Why wouldn't you be able to just download it from a PC? If you want to know if you can download iTunes for a PC, yes is your answer.
iTunes for the computer is very different than the iTunes that you have on your iPod Touch. You can only have the iTunes from your computer when you download it for your PC (not for the Mac, there are two separate iTunes softwares) from Apple's website.
iTunes can be downloaded from Apple's iTunes page. (See links below)
Yes, you can still install the iTunes/iPod software, and plug in your iPod, if you have a PC. I have a PC and an iPod.
Plug it into iTunes!?
Go to apple.com -> click 'iPod + iTunes'. There you will find the latest iTunes download.
yes. Itunes can be loaded on any PC.
Firstly, in iTunes, select "manually manage songs and videos" beforehand so that when you connect your iPod to another PC it wont erase everything. Second, download iTunes on your new PC. Third, save all of your songs from your old PC to a CD or something so you can rip it to your new PC. Once you have done that you can use your iPod on a new PC.
