It's against the law because: IT IS WRONG. People make laws for a reason, to prevent wrongdoings, crimes and hurting others. Abusing animals is definitely immoral, unjust and wrong (Abuse of people is against the law, so why shouldn't animals be too?). It's like abusing an innocent child who can't speak out for themselves for no reason.
Also, even if it wasn't against the law, it is still wrong and shouldn't be done.
..
Non-human animals have no inherent rights. IF animals had rights: what moral obligations do they have?. That there is no moral obligation makes it abundantly obvious that non human animals have no inherent rights.
Laws NEVER prevent action.
Because the animal keeps doing taking a dump inside the health.

Cruelty to animals, also called animal abuse or animal neglect, is the intentional infliction by humans of suffering or harm upon any non-human animal, regardless of whether the act is against the law.
well, humans pollute the water and air, and plus they kill animals for their meat, so i guess humans don't affect animals very well.
Yes Animals have rights. They have the right to a good life and things such as animal abuse is punishable by law. The fact that animals have rights includes all animals such as vermin and pest, that's whyy if they are killed and it is deemed in-humane charges can be brought against the person.
no, but there is a law saying that you cannot abuse animals in any way. Hope this helps
