Burrs at the strike point of a chisel can break off and because of the impact speed and force of the hammer hitting it will cause the burr to travel both high speed and with significant force.
Most hospitals having accidents referred to them from this type of accident see server eye injuries, both for the person holding the chisel AND for people in "firing range".
That is why eye protection is so vital. Further to this are puncture wounds caused by these high speed, jagged missiles embedding themselves in the skin.
The other, but not so common injury is where the hammer strikes the burr more that the actual chisels strike point, the burr collapses and the hammer can carry through causing the hand to hit.
There is no best way to remove burrs from clothing. However, one of the recommended ways to remove burrs is to put the clothing in a washing machine to soften the burrs. Then a comb should be used to remove a lot of the bristles of the burrs, and finally duct tape can be used to remove the rest of them.
I just removed three burrs from under my saddle.
The area of Burrs Country Park is 360,000.0 square meters.
There are many uses of carbide burrs in metalworking. These burrs act as cutting tools in many grinder tools such as dental drills, rotary tools, and die grinders.
Burrs, as in weed seeds, are a wool contaminant, they decrease the price the farmer gets for his wool.

Answer Sadly there is no good way of removing burrs from a Golden. You can try brushing them out, but that never worked for me, usually with my Golden I had to cut the burrs out with a pair of scissors. Even wetting the burr doesn't do much good as those things really cling to dogs with long hair.
Burrs may be small bits of thorns or wood that stick to you clothing when a breeze blows by or you're out walking. I always have a few in my sock it seems :) hope this helps!
The burrs contain the plants seed and they stick to the hide of passing animals and therefore spread the seed far and wide. Is'nt Nature wonderful?
