To remove a drawer from a children's Simmons dresser, start by pulling the drawer out fully. Look for release tabs or levers on the sides of the drawer slides, and press or lift them to release the drawer from the slides. Once released, gently lift the drawer upwards and out to remove it completely from the dresser.
open the drawer fully, then lift up on the end of the drawer, this will remove the front wheels from the track. pull the drawer forward and lift the rear wheels out of the track.
Open the drawer and there is a small screw on either side toward the front of the drawer. Remove this screw that is holding the track in place and the track comes off the drawer and the drawer comes out! Very counter intuitive, but it works.
Open the drawer. On the inside on both sides is a screw with a corresponding nut on the outside of the drawer holding the rail to the drawer. Remove these two screws and the rails will slide out of the drawer. When replacing the drawer make sure the rails slide into the slots on the drawer.
Open the drawer, wrap your fingers around the handle, grasp, then pick up and shut the drawer.
I figured it out! While the drawer is pulled out as far as it will go, use a small, flat head screw driver and push the plastic piece so the drawer can be pulled out completely. The piece that you'll be pushing up on is on the under side and is part of the drawer.
In order to remove drawers from a dresser, simply pull out the drawer by its handle. You then will want to shake the drawer just a bit, until it is unhatched from its hinges. From there, simply pull out the drawer to remove it.
If the tracks on the file bin are sticky or do not roll easily, remove the drawer and rub wax on the track to make it slide easier. If it is completely stuck there should be a pull rod that can be removed from the rear of the cabinet to allow the drawer to be pulled open.
remove dash trim
open drawer, at front on the sides in the middle of the track is small screw on each side, remove and lift front off drawer out of track.
remove the rubber thing on each side .... and bend up the little clip domahickies then you got it unlike me i wrecked the whole drawer.
there should be little plastic clips on the drawer runners when open push them up and pull out the drawer OR: If you have the alternative type- one of Triumph (UK) drawer cabinets, the A4 sheet filler, there is a little tab on the side of every drawer, 2 inches from the front. 1. remove plastic sleeve (if any) 2. untwist the metal locking tab with pliers so it fits the slot its protruding from. 3. when both sides are untwisted- lift to clear the tabs completely and pull towards you, as the drawer is held by two claws on the back as well and you need to slide out of those. REMEMBER TO WORK ON EMPTY DRAWERS- most people never realise that while a single sheet of A4 paper is feather light, a thousand or more can weight 'a tone'. ooldgregg
