Christianity claims to be a fulfilment of the Old Testament of the Bible. Unless an effort is made to understand the Bible as one story, with the New Testament a fulfilment of the Old Testament, the synergy begins to disappear. Without this synergy, you may begin to see the story of Jesus as largely unrelated to the Old Testament and this could lead to seeing him as a great moral teacher, but no more than this.
To get better understanding. Yes your native language is the one you understand the best. The bible has a lot of big words that might be hard for someone who doesn't have English (for example) as their first language.
There is no single word which translates into "understand" in the Bible. The Bible is a compilation of books, written in Hebrew Aramaic and Greek. Each uses different words, some with more than one meaning. The question doesn't have an easy answer
The number of questions in the Bible is not quite as important as Its one answer: Jesus of Nazareth. Accept no substitutes.
One of the King James translated the KJV Hebrew and Greek BIBLE to English so Americans can understand it. I'm not sure which King James did so.
there are several different editions of the bible. some are more accurate than others, but the version you read depends on whether you are studying or just getting closer to god. the KING JAMES VERSION is the first english version of the bible, but that can be difficult to understand because we dont speak in that dialect any more. if you want to stay close to the king james but understand what you are reading you can try the NEW KING JAMES VERSION. the NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION is also easy to understand and is one of the more popular versions of the bible. other versions that i recommend to people are the AMPLIPHIED BIBLE which gives more detail and explanation, and THE MESSAGE bible which is much more conversational and very easy to understand.
The most important aspect of paragraph development is that it keeps the reader reading. If a story is worded and formed poorly, no one will want to read it. Good paragraph development will make the story easier to understand as well.
No the story of Samuel is a long one, from a child to a pold man . It is written in two books in the bible.
One reason that a Catholic might find the Bible hard to understand is that they are not reading it with the mind of the Church. Another reason might be that they don't understand that it is literal and NOT literalistic. In other words, take the Creation story in the beginning of Genesis (the first creation story). It is literally true: God created EVERYTHING out of nothing. A literalistic interpretation would be that He created it in six twenty-four hour days because it references "days". But the Bible is NOT literalistic, and must be interpreted literally in the genera that it is using: myth, parable, allegory, etc.

No one knows where the Bible is found ,the important is that you read it everyday!

If a person wants to understand the significance of the cross, they should read the bible. The bible will contain the history of the cross, as well as what happened when Jesus died on the cross.
I remember in the early 1970's, The Way was the name of a new version of The Bible which attempted to make the Bible easier to understand and to apply to one's everyday life.

To understand a story, one needs to know the main characters, the setting, the plot (sequence of events), the conflict or problem that drives the narrative, and the resolution or outcome of the story. Understanding the themes and underlying messages can also deepen comprehension of a story.
