Supplemental/Safety Restraint Sytstem. ie: airbag, seatbelt...
Additional protection.
If you fail to connect your safety belt and the air bag is deployed as the result of an accident , the air bag could hurt you if not kill you.
the extremely rapid inflation of airbags. not wearing a seatbelt when an airbag inflates. being positioned incorrectly in the seat when an airbag inflates. if this question is for study island the answer is all of the above.
Simplified: Crash. (No Airbag.) Get Crushed by the Seatbelt and items. Crash. (Airbag.) Protected from items and bashing your head. Advanced: I don't have the time. Sorry. But I'll edit when I do.
One safety precaution that you should follow when vehicle testing is to always put on your seatbelt. You should also make sure that you wear the property safety footwear.
ANSWER- More important than age, is the size of the child, to ride safely in the front seat of any vehicle. If the child is not TALL enough, should there be a collision, the airbag will strike them in the face, head & neck instead of striking the chest area as it is designed to do. In that case the airbag could injure or KILL a child. Therefore, if there is the slightest bit of uncertainty, always put children in the back seat; the safest place, according to experts. MOST IMPORTANT- if they do "measure up" for the front, NEVER depend on just the airbag. ALWAYS use the seatbelt, as the airbag alone can cause more injury than the accident itself. Check your owners manual for specific safety suggestions for the convertible.
Technically, any time the vehicle is moving it's occupants need to be wearing their safety belts.
In my opinion, the seatbelt. Without it, a casualty rate due to car accidents would increase dramatically. Seatbelts are an extremely important safety feature in a car. Buckle up!
for peoples safety
It is for your safety. More people without a seatbelt die in car accidents than with seatbelt. So I require to use the seatbelt. See here for more information about seatbelt usage: How_much_does_it_cost_to_replace_a_window
Airbags are passive safety devices that are designed to protect vehicle occupants in the event of a collision. They work in conjunction with seat belts to reduce the risk of injury during a crash. Here is a basic overview of how airbags work: 1. Sensors detect a collision: When a vehicle collides with an object, sensors located in the front of the vehicle detect the impact. 2. Signal is sent to the airbag module: The sensors send a signal to the airbag module, which is a computer that controls the airbag system. 3. Airbag is deployed: The airbag module activates an igniter, which generates a small explosion that rapidly inflates the airbag. 4. Airbag cushions the impact: The airbag inflates within a fraction of a second and cushions the impact of the occupant's head and chest as they come into contact with the dashboard or steering wheel. 5. Airbag deflates: Once the airbag has deployed, it begins to deflate as the gas inside it is released through small vents in the bag's fabric. It's important to note that airbags are designed to work in conjunction with seat belts, and are not a substitute for them. Seat belts are the primary safety device in a vehicle, and help to prevent occupants from being thrown forward and hitting the dashboard or other objects inside the vehicle.
