Why is it impossible to find a camshaft position sensor for a 1998 Jeep Cherokee that goes into the distributor?

This part is called several other names. 1) A camshaft position sensor. 2) Stator 3) Sync-Pulse Generator. 4) Auto Zone had it but called it a Pick-Up Coil (Part Number CR149).
