According to Jewish law, a person is considered jewish only if he is born to a jewish mother. A jewish father alone does not make one jewish. The underlying rationale is that it is patently clear who the mother is; she is the one giving birth, but it may contentious who the father is.

According to Jewish law, a Jew is any person whose mother was Jewish (Talmud, Kidushin 68b), or any person who has gone through a proper conversion to Judaism (Talmud, Yevamot 47a).

If your mom is Jewish does it make you Jewish when you are born even if you are a boy?

Yes. The Jewish religion follows the matriarchal line, probably because it has always been more easily determinable who is the mother of a child rather than the father.

What is th word for relatives on mother side?

Being related to someone on your father's side means that you and that person have a common ancestor who is also an ancestor of your father, rather than of your mother.Your uncle on your father's side is your father's brother; your uncle on your mother's side is your mother's brother. You first cousin on your mother's side is the child of your mother's brother or sister, rather than of your father's brother or sister.A bit more:"Paternal" is the word used for your father's relatives. For example, your father's parents are your paternal grandparents; your father's brother is your paternal uncle."Maternal" is the word used for your mother's relatives. Your mother's parents are your maternal grandparents, etc.

If your mother was your father and your father was your mother you would be hinny instead you are just plain old?

mule. When a male donkey is bred to a female horse, it is a mule. However, if the dad was a horse rather than a donkey, and the mother was a jenney(female donkey) instead of a mare (making the mother the father and the father the mother) you would get a Hinny. But since it was a donkey with a mare, it was just a plain old Mule.

How does a mother give her unborn child to the father of the baby and his wife if the mother is in Colorado and the father is in Minnesota?

I'd advise you to go to a family law attorney in your state and discuss the situation, rather than attempt to handle it yourself. Let your lawyer handle all communications with the father of your child and his spouse.

Who coined the phrase repetition is the father of learning?

Actually, some versions say "repetition is the mother of learning"-- one of the oldest comes from the ancient Latin: Repetitio est mater studiorum. This translates as "Repetition is the mother of studies." But in modern times, there are a number of versions that use the father, rather than the mother, such as in a song by Lil Wayne, in which he says "repetition is the father of learning."
