Muslims believe that Jesus is a prophet who was born miraculously by God word through Angel Gabriel to the virgin Mary without father, the same word by which Adam was created, and Prophet Zakariah was given his son John while both Zakariah and his were so old to get children. So, Muslims believe that only God, the creator, is capable to forgive sins of any one of His creations, by his mercy and love, without need to mediator or one's sacrifice.

Muslims believe in Quran teachings that everyone is responsible of his beliefs and deeds. On Day of Judgment, those having good faith and good deeds over-weighing their bad deeds will be rewarded with the Paradise per God mercy. Those who having wrong beliefs and bad deeds over-weighing good deeds will be punished by going to hell unless forgiven by God.

What are some Islamic and Catholic differences?

Islamic Perspective:Some of the differences are:* The Catholics believe (this belief was confirmed many decades after Christ) that Hazrat Jesus Christ (AS) was the Son of God.* The Muslims believe that he was a holy Prophet, miraculously born to Hazrat Marry (AS) who was a Virgin. He was sent to preach to the Jews, but the Jews didn't accept him as prophet or the son of God, rather they had him (according to Christian belief) crucified for his claim that he was the son of God.* The Muslims believe that he was not crucified. He rose to heavens alive.* The Muslims believe that Almighty God has no Son, No Parents, no off-spring, No Partner and No Associate whatsoever. He is Unique and there is nothing like Him. He is free from all kinds of weaknesses - ie... like having Son.Some of the differences between them are: The Christians (not all of them) believe (this belief was confirmed many decades after Christ) that Hazrat Jesus Christ (AS) was the Son of God. As I see it, the Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet, but Muhammad was a more recent prophet. But they are very different because Jesus Christ is God, (Titus 2.13), and Muhammad is a prophet that tells of another God, Allah.

The Muslims believe in all the holy Prophets (May peace be upon them all). They do believe in Hazrat Jesus Christ (AS) a Prophet. He is also called by the Name of Messiah in the holy Qur'an.
