It's hard to tell - some guys are so good at appearing genuinely interested until they get what they want. Try making him wait for it. Give it some time because some guys are willing to play their little games for weeks. If you find after a while he has grown bored of the chase you can pretty much be certain he was only after sex. Also watch out for signs that he might be getting it elsewhere. If he truly likes you for who you are it shouldn't matter to him that you want to wait. But if he's always pushing you for it, that could be another sign he only cares about what he wants.
