Actually, it is pretty much the same from one Saros cycle to the next.

Because of the way that the Earth orbits the Sun and spins on its axis, the pattern isn't from one eclipse to the next; it is far more complex. The cycle is called the Saros Cycle, and can (fairly accurately) show the similarities between a series of eclipses.

Are solar and lunar eclipses visible to everyone on earth?

Lunar eclipse: Visible to everyone who can see the moon in their sky . . . roughly half of the earth's surface.Solar eclipse: Visible only to the people within a narrow strip on the earth's surface ...a few thousand miles long, but only a few hundred miles wide.

Where is the observer during a solar eclipse?

The observer of a solar eclipse would typically be located on Earth, witnessing the event as the moon passes between the sun and Earth, causing either a partial or total eclipse. The specific location on Earth where the observer would be situated would depend on where the eclipse is visible from.

When is a solar eclipse visible from any place on earth?

No single eclipse ... solar or lunar ... is ever visible from every place on earth. No single solar eclipse is ever visible from every place or even half of the earth.

How long does take for an eclipse to come?

A total solar eclipse occurs approximately every 18 months somewhere on Earth. The duration of a total solar eclipse at any particular location is typically a few minutes.

How does a lunar eclipse work?

I think that only solar eclipses are mapped, because only a relatively narrow strip of the earth's surface falls within the moon's shadow during a solar eclipse. During a lunar eclipse, however, anyone on the half of the earth that's facing the moon sees the same eclipse, just at different elevations. ______________________________ The NASA Eclipse web site (linked below) will allow you to see the schedule of all eclipses from 2000 BCE to 3000 AD. This will allow you to see if a particular eclipse is visible from your location.

Is a total solar eclipse visible to all spots on the earth?

no

Why don't you see the moon every day?

The rates at which the earth rotates, the moon revolves around the earth, and the earth revolves around the sun don't sync up exactly over the course of a day or month. That complex motion means at some points in the month the moon is in the earth's shadow, and/or may not be on the side of the earth to be visible from a particular location.

Which celestial event do more people witness: a solar eclipse or a lunar eclipse?

More people witness a lunar eclipse compared to a solar eclipse because a lunar eclipse is visible from anywhere on the nighttime side of Earth, while a solar eclipse is only visible from a specific region on Earth where the moon's shadow falls.

What Place on earth a lunar eclipse is never seen in June?

When a lunar eclipse is in progress, it's visible from any place on earth where the moon is visible ... nominally half of the earth's surface. There is no month during which a lunar eclipse can't occur, and no place on earth from which a lunar eclipse can't be seen. The story is completely different regarding SOLAR eclipses. When the sun is in eclipse, the appearance is different depending on the observer's position on earth; in particular, the eclipse appears 'total' from only a small region at any one time.If the question had specified a 'solar eclipse', then in Antarctica, for example, there is a large part of the continent where the sun never rises in June, so a June solar eclipse could never be observed from there.

What is the location of earth during a lunar eclipse?

During a lunar eclipse, the Earth is directly between the Sun and the Moon.

Are all eclipse are visible?

No, not all eclipses are visible from a particular location on Earth. The visibility of an eclipse depends on factors such as the type of eclipse (lunar or solar), the location and time of the event, and the Earth's position relative to the Sun and the Moon.
