Why is it that human beings do not move backwards again in the process of evolution?

Evolution simply means change. There is no target or goal or end of the line; there is no "forward" or "backward", only "towards more suitable" and "away from more suitable".
Humans are doing neither. We adapt our environment to us, not the other way around.

Evolution is as logical as you can get. Supported by concrete evidence, corroborated by scientists worldwide, and put through the scientific method time and time again... it does not deviate into a subjective opinion. Those who don't believe the theory of evolution is logical clearly do not understand evolution.
Why is organic evolution important?
