Every tissue in the body has a different function. These tissues are composed of specialized cells that are programmed to perform specific tasks. Specializes jobs performed by specialized tissues gives out body the ability to form complex organ systems like the nervous system, the skeletal system and the circulatory system. To illustrate with an example, muscle cells perform functions that nerve cells cannot and vice verse. Although the genetic make up of each somatic cell in an individual is alike, different genes are operative in different cell types to give them specialized capabilities. The presence of different cell types allows the development and sustenance of organs and organ systems in out body.

How many cells are there in our boady?

There are approximately 37.2 trillion cells in the human body. These cells make up different types of tissues and organs, each with their own specialized functions.

Are cells used to build tissues?

Tissues are made up of different types of cells working together to perform a body function.

Where cells are found?

Cells are the basic structure which our bodies are made up of. The cells contain everything that our bodies need to survive, including DNA. There are different types of cells which are specialised for specific functions. A group of similar cells form tissues, in turn a group of tissues forms a body organ such as the heart or lungs, and these organs form the body as a whole. So the short answer to this question is that cells are found everywhere!

Do cells in your body all have the same structure and different functions?

no

In an organism are ther more cells or tissues?

An advantage of having cells organized into tissues includes the fact that this allows for a great complexity of life. The tissues are organized into organs which allows even great complexity.

What is the medical term for what cells do to form tissues?

The medical term for what cells do to form tissues is "differentiation." This is the process by which less specialized cells become more specialized and acquire specific functions to form the various types of tissues in the body.

What do all the tissues in our body have in common?

All tissues in our body are made up of cells. These cells work together to perform specific functions that contribute to the overall structure and function of the tissue. Additionally, tissues are organized into organs and systems, working in coordination to maintain the body's homeostasis.
