Could be that your idle speed is too high, or engine is running too hot causing the PMC to deliver a richer mixture,

it is still running off the battery, most of the time it will turn off when you open the door

your key is probably still in the ignitionA bit more:The clock in my car continues to run even after I turn it off and remove the keys. The car battery is what keeps the clock running, but it uses so little power that there's no danger of it running down your car battery as it would if you left your headlights on.

It's probably the catalytic converter fan; not the a/c fan.

If it is still on when your car is off it may be a sensor to your brake lights that may need looked at. If it is on when your car is running it may just be something to do with day time running lights. You may get splashed with hot oil and get burned if you add oil with the car running, why don't you just turn the car off and add it??

Shut the engine off. They're supposed to be on all the time the car is running.

You don't they have daytime running lights (they are on when the car is on).

turn the car off and apply the parking brake, when you turn the car back on, or to the accessory position, the daytime lights will not come on until you lower the brake lever

because the engine is still processing the oil for about 20 seconds after you turn the car off

In this order only. Turn engine off. Depress parking brake. Turn engine on. Lights will turn off. To turn lights back on relase parking brake.

They usually don't do that, but if you turn the car off while they're still going, they might get stuck that way. To fix that just turn the car back on. They should go back to the "down" position, then you can turn the car off again.

Your Accord is overheating. The fan is running to try and cool the engine off. seek professional help immediately before you destroy the engine.

You cannot actually turn off the lights while the car is driving or in any gear but park. If you would want to turn the lights off while you are parked for some reason, put the car in park, turn off the car completely, pull the emergency brake up, then restart the car. This overrides the headlights and they will stay off while the car is running-however, as soon as you release the emergency brake- the headlights turn back on.

i would assume you need to turn your headlights off as they are the most common reason for the beeping after you turn off the car. My headlights are off and the car is still beeping

That piece has been recalled just take it into your Mazda dealership and they will replace the recalled piece. I had the same issue

Because unless you turn the engine off pollution still can come out of the exhaust

How do you turn off running lights on 2000 Toyota 4runner?"

Because there's something wrong with it. For a more detailed answer, take it to a mechanic.

sounds like you need a new ignition switch

You probably have a siezed alternator or something. Take it off and see if all you're pulleys turn freely.
