Few things to look for, one, are the contacts good on the run contactors. Two, has the motor wiring been changed in any way, contactors or leads on motor. Trace wiring and make sure the leads are paired correctly to the starters. Three, make sure the start timer is not bringing the run contactors in too late. Also check that the shorting contactor is opening when the run contactor comes in.
how will you start 3phase inuction motor using star delta stater
Motor pathway neurons control your motor skills such as walking, running, lifting your arm.
identify aproximately when the brain begins to control the following functions motor development
Sensory control your five senses and motor control movements.
u can change in the terminal box..
It is a type of starter that allows a motor to be started across the line by starting the motor with a reduced inrush current. The motor is started in a wye configuration until it gets up to speed and then a timer drops the wye contactor out a draws the delta configured contactor in. The motor then operates in a delta wired configuration.
That is the star point contactor that opens when it goes into the delta configuration.
A star-delta motor should be supplied star-delta.Wye is simply another name for star. Star-delta motors use a star or wye configuration to start, and a delta configuration to run. This reduces the voltage on the windings during the high current starting time.
The timing should allow the motor to get up to full RPM in the star configuration before switching to delta configuration. Depending on the motor size and inertia loading it will be from 5 to 10 seconds.
There is no need to place a 6 pole disconnect to isolate the motor in the field. The motor's leads at the motor's terminal box have to be wired for a delta connection. The star delta contactor in the MCC only has three wires on its output. Six wires do not have to be taken directly to the motor. The voltage is reduced at the start of the circuit when the starter in in the star configuration. From the star configuration it changes to the delta configuration. So as you can see only a three pole isolation switch is needed in the field to isolate the motor from its supply.
in a delta configuration the current is split between the phases, as opposed to a wye configuration where the current will be equal on all phases. and vice versa for voltage.
The inrush current is reduced. This is the reason for star delta starters. Motor starts on star and after about 10 to 15 seconds, depending on the load of the motor, it switches to a delta configuration to run.
two contecter <<>> There are three contactors used in a Star Delta configuration.
the important is contactor, timer, olr.....
If a motor is connected in a star configuration it will operate at a slower speed. This is the working process that a star delta starter operates on. At first through the starter the motor starts in the star connection. When the motor gets up to its highest speed in that connection it times a timer out , the star starter drops out and the delta starter pulls in and then connects the motor in the delta connection. This allows more voltage to be applied to the motor and it then speeds up to its nameplate rated RPM.
There is really no advantage, the only purpose of having the variety is for motor manufacturer companies to be able to sell their product to customers if the building's electrical service is of a Delta of Wye configuration.
This is the schematic for the starter. K1T is a timer. Initially KM1 and KM3 are closed to start the motor. Then KM2 is closed and KM1 is opened to run the motor This is the equivalent ladder logic using relays and timers.
