A star-delta motor should be supplied star-delta.
Wye is simply another name for star. Star-delta motors use a star or wye configuration to start, and a delta configuration to run. This reduces the voltage on the windings during the high current starting time.
230/400 V These motors can be connected in star to a mains of 400 V between the phases (see figure 1). figure 1 Star connection 400/695 V These motors should be connected in delta to a mains of 400 V between the phases (see figure 2).
why three phase induction motor is delta connected
it will not run
10 hp and above motor power rating....
The inrush current is reduced. This is the reason for star delta starters. Motor starts on star and after about 10 to 15 seconds, depending on the load of the motor, it switches to a delta configuration to run.
commutator, armature
A star-delta starter is a method used to reduce the starting current drawn by a 3-phase induction motor. It involves initially connecting the motor windings in a star configuration for starting, and then switching to a delta configuration for running. This helps to minimize voltage drops and prevents excessive current flow during start-up.
If there is energy in an electric motor (electricity is being supplied to it). it will be turing/running. When there is no energy in it (being supplied to it) it will stop.
The timing should allow the motor to get up to full RPM in the star configuration before switching to delta configuration. Depending on the motor size and inertia loading it will be from 5 to 10 seconds.

What is the continuous current of 10HP star delta motor
On a star delta starter a motor overload or a motor going to ground and cause a short circuit will cause the overload protection to trip. These overloads have to be reset before the motor can be restarted.
Motor run delta connection because in delta connection it is less ampere needed and it sometimes it change the wye connection because of the available suply
At least 320 J
A motor from a 1991 Oldsmobile will fit into a 1996 Oldsmobile Delta 88. The motor mounts will need to be changed.
THE FIRST THING IS TAKE THE READING OFF LOAD AND SEE IF THEY ARE BALANCED. HAS THE MOTOR BEEN RECENTLY REWOUND? GET A MOTOR REPAIR COMPANY TO LOOK AT THE MOTOR AND SEE IF IT HAS BEEN WOUND CORRECTLY. IF THE STAR-DELTA WORKS CORRECTLY IT SHOULD START IN STAR FOR ABOUT FIVE TO TEN SECONDS AND GO INTO DELTA THIS IS DEPENDANT ON THE STARTING CURRENT THE MANUFACTURE OF THE SWITCH AND THE APPLICATION. CHECK ALL THREE PHASES ARE BALANCED AND IF THEY ARE THE MOTOR WINDINGS MAY NOT BE CORRECTLY WOUND. SOME HAVE STAR CONNECTIONS BUILT IN.LOOKING AT THE AMPERAGE THE LOAD REQUIREMENT IS ONLY A FRACTION OF WHAT YOU ARE GETTING SO IT LEAVES ONLY TWO THINGS I......MOTOR FAULT 2.....WHAT EVER THE MOTOR IS DRIVING IS PUTTING A MASSIVE PRESSURE ON THE MOTOR CAUSING IT TO OVERLOAD.
It is a type of starter that allows a motor to be started across the line by starting the motor with a reduced inrush current. The motor is started in a wye configuration until it gets up to speed and then a timer drops the wye contactor out a draws the delta configured contactor in. The motor then operates in a delta wired configuration.
