The city Madinah is an important city because of many reasons:
- The Muslim's migrated there from Makkah
- The Prophet spent the remainder of his life there
- The Prophet died there
- A lot of the Quran was revealed there
- The first masjid was built there (or in the outskirts of it)
There are many, many more reasons why Madinah is so high lighted, but, I think these are the most important.
