Moms cry for many reasons, just like other people do. It could be that she is sad because someone died, someone hurt her feelings, one of her children is in trouble, one of her children went out with friends or on a date and is really late getting home. She might have had an argument with your dad or another family member, be hurting from a disease, had an accident and been injured, something she really cherished might have been broken, a pet may have died, or many other reasons.
