Yes it does have a cold start sensor. It is located on top of a throttle body.
Low coolant. If the coolant is low then the heater core is not able to transfer heat in to the car.
There can be multiple causes of "problems" when it's cold. Old batteries don't work as well when the temperature drops. Low compression can make an engine more difficult to start when it's cold. For now, have a reputable garage or auto parts retailer run a complete test of your electrical system. If the battery is old and unable to deliver adequate electrical current to the starter, you'll have difficulty starting.
You will need a BCI 78 BATTERY with cold cranking amps close to 800. these are side terminal or dual terminal batteries and can be purchased at almost any auto parts store or even Walmart.
what i am assuming is being talked about is that when you go to turn on the heat in a Seville, heat will only be produced out of one side of vents. there are a number of valves in a Seville which control wether the air that is coming out of the vents in hot or cold. in a Seville there are a pair of these valves one for the passenger side air, and one for the driver side air. the reason why only one side of the car is blowing hot air is because one of these valves has gotten stuck in the "cold air" position and needs to be replaced. the same thing happened on my car but the drivers side was the one not blowing heat.
For years we pulled our 2 horse trailer with a 1978 Cadillac Coupe Deville. It pulled great, the gas mileage was awful but we had cold air and a good radio
