Your MAF sensore is either disconnected (the one on top of the intake tube) or you vac lines have become disconnected. The vac line is directly under throttle body.
You dont you replace the timing control module
A miss, black smoke and a strong gas smell. Also, bad acceleration, rough idling, and stalling.
You may want to check the IMRC's which control fuel flow on the intakes. These went bad on my 97.
Do you mean the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) system? If so the EGR valve is located on the backside of the cylinder head under the hood cowl. Common EGR symptoms are rough idling, stalling at idle, rough engine performance during light throttle application, and stalling during deceleration. Hope this helps
Stalling rough. Like stalling while on a hill. That made mine skip.
Most of the time rough running and stalling is due to vacuum leaks. There is more of a load on the engine when it is in gear, so that lends itself to stalling out. When I look for vacuum leaks, I have the engine idling (maybe you need a friend to keep it from stalling) and then spray carburetor cleaner around the various hoses & gaskets that could be leaking. Any increase in the idle speed would be an indicator that you have a leak in that area.
Rough idling is whenever the vehicle's motor "misses" or does not fire causing an imbalance and a loss of rotation reducing the motor's power and causing excessive shaking.
Clean out the IAC (idle air control) or replace it. Check the TPS (throttle position sensor) also. Clean out hte intake also.
my 1990 300zx is idling rough what could cause this?
Motor is idling rough.
When the going get rough, the rough get going.
