stalling, but not often?

Common causes of stalling during idling are (a) clogged gas line filter and/or air filter, (b) loose electrical connection (at battery, fuses, fuel injector, cable connectors), (c) faulty performance or engine computer, and (d) broken, cracked or disconnected vacuum hoses (used in regulating idle RPMs). Carefully disconnecting and re-connecting cables, hoses and components can often overcome the effects of simple problems caused by road grit. Failed components should be repaired or replaced. Less common causes of idle stalling require more sophisticated diagnoses and are best determined by experienced repair technicians. However, automotive parts stores also offer maintenance manuals for 10-25 USD, which many people can use to diagnose and correct more complex problems.

Next, I would change the spark plugs. Bad spark plugs and low oil can often cause a car to jerk and shake whether your driving or just idling.
