the freeze plugs on the side of the motor could be done.
Failed gasket.
Initial fill is 12.2 quarts
Most of the time it is because the water pump is going out and it is leaking where the pulley is on the engine.
could be your thermostat or you have no antifreeze coolant or your water pump is going bad
head gasket, low oil or antifreeze, malfunctioning fans.
is it leaking anywhere? Can you be more specific other than overheating. I had the same problem 2 weeks ago. I fixed it.
with out knowing where it leaks from it's a hard question. the only thing i could think of is heater core
Probably a blown or leaking head gasket.
A part has failed. Find where the leak starts, and fix that part.
Overheating and leaking coolant is a sign of a bad water pump. There is a hole on the bottom of water pumps that allows coolant to leak when they are going out. This is to warn you it is going out so you replace it before major damage is done.
Antifreeze or water ( whatever you are using in the engine for cooling), will be leaking out and onto the engine and ground if the small hole in the front isn't plugged with oil or dirt. Otherwise it may go into the engine oil. If the impellar inside has stopped turning, you will notice that the engine will start overheating.
needs a new heater core
