Why is my car AC not cooling?
your ac is not cooling
is your ac pumping or do you have a blown fuse
check fuses first
then have ac gas checked for correct amount
if this is over full it cannot circulate properly
most times it will need some added
if that's not the problem you may need ac thermostat checked, expansion valve may be bad,or the compressor may be bad
take it to a reputable shop to have it looked at or it could cost you big bucks
If the AC in your car is not cooling, chances are your air conditioner is needing repair. You probably have a pin hole leak in the core of your car's heater. If your car has a cabin filter, be sure it is clean or replaced with a new filter.
Why does AC stop working after a while and the car will overheat when AC is on on a 1995 Nissan 240sx?
Cooling fan not working, or your cooling system needs a complete service. The cooling fan should be on continuously when the A/C is on.
get in the car when it is cold, turn on the ac, then check under the hood. the fan that is not spinning when the car is cold is the cooling fan
Not if the cooling system is operating properly.
It's the cooling element for the AC.
It can if their is something wrong with the cooling system.
Its just part of the cars computer, it just keeps it cool. Most cars cooling fans come on when the car is started If the AC is on it will.
the ac in the car cools, the fact you have set a higher temperature than the ambient tempereature means that the car's heater is working and so is the ac, if you wish to heat up your car, turn the ac off.
If the AC is on, this is normal.
Why does the engine cooling fan on a 1993 Toyota Corolla run when the car is cold and you turn the key on?
If the AC or Defroster is on, many vehicles will also turn on the cooling fan.
Please go check the cooling fluid level in the car- it's probably low and needs to be filled up.
97 Saturn sl problem is that the car will run hot unless the ac is on engine cooling fan only runs with ac on the coolant temperature sensor was replaced but the problem persist what should be done?
Sounds like your cooling fan relay is shot. Ron J.
My Saturn SL coolant gauge shows car overheating when AC us turned on. If I leave the ac off can I still drive safely?
You can, but you still have a cooling problem that needs rectification.
cooling fan relay short or bypassed or defrost or ac selector on
Need more info, some vehicles have a mechanical cooling fan while others have electric cooling fans or maybe you're asking about the heater/ac fan.
Check the following............... 1. System is low on antifreeze. 2. System has an air pocket in the cooling system. 3. Cooling fans are not connected. 4. Radiator is bad......
A 12000btu AC is considered 1 ton of cooling. 18000btu is 1.5 tons. One ton of AC will give you the cooling you would get by melting one ton of ice. EPM
unless there is something wrong with your car, the cooling fans are activated when a sensor in the cooling system detects that the coolant is too hot and that is when the fans turn on to help bring airflow to the radiator or just to circulate hot air away from the engine. if the coolant is still hot when your car turns on, then the fan will stay on as well. Also, if the AC… Read More
you can install an ac unit in a window if you have permision for cooling
Because its probably not working. Try turning on the AC to see if they both kick on and make sure to do this when the car is warm. If the car is cold they fans wont kick in.
Why is your 1998 Hyundai Elantra overheating with the AC on but when driving a short distance without the AC on the temperature is normal?
AC adds a lot of stress on your cars cooling system. I'd suspect your cooling system is sufficient to cool your car, until it needs to dissipate the extra heat from the AC. Faulty thermostat, faulty radiator fan, clogged radiator fins, bad coolant, or a faulty water pump could be some things to look into.
In some autos, the AC compressor cuts in and out according to the temperature setpoint inside the car. Much like your heater/cooling system in a house, the system, when it reaches temperature, turns off.
The 2nd fan on this car is for extra cooling when the AC is turned on, if you turn on the AC both fans should run; the relay is the first place to look if that fan is not coming on.
Brakes don't contribute in any way to cooling the car
What would cause the ac on a 2002 KIA Sedona to blow out white smoke and quit cooling then later start back cooling?
Is it possible that it was steam and not smoke? If the AC freezes up, it will stop cooling until it thaws. Then, it will being to operate again.
2002 dodge caravan ac is chareged sill not cooling
If there is no cooling system, the engin will overheat.
check to make sure your radiator cooling fans are working. You can do this with the car idoling, even cold they should come on with the ac. Next check your freon level.
Found the fix on another forum - replace the AC clutch relay in the power distribution box under the hood. This has worked for at least two people with this exact problem so far.
I'm thinking the coolant level in the reservoir is to high to begin with. The cooling system has to work harder when the ac is running. The coolant expands as it heats up. If the coolant level was high to start with it will push out the excess.
The passenger side cooling fan comes on when Air Conditioning is turned on. If it still does not turn on, check the AC fuse and the AC/Fan relay.
put on ac in car and over heats
They are too numerous to list here.
It will if the ac is on.
12,000 btu of cooling capacity.
they get to hot/there is not enough cooling
CFC's are present in Air conditioners. They are used for cooling.
72 @ 35% rh is average
AC runs on the battery. If the car is off and you run the AC, then start the car, it will stall.
Only with considerable difficulty. You're probably better off to trade your car in for one with AC.
Does a car AC heating function the same way as normal room ACs or Split Units operate such as in reverse cooling operation?
All car ac's work like most any other ac. I don't know of any car ac's that work like heat pumps that both heat and cool. Every car I have seen provides heat thru a heating core which is heated from the water circulated from the engine. , EzForJesus
when the car starts to over heat
your car ac will only blow hot air when there coolannt in the car is finished or the car is oveerheated.
What would be the cause of the AC fan not coming on - car overheating - and freon smell when the car is started?
Faulty radiator cooling fan switch or circuit; Worn or damaged cooling fan motor or circuit; Broken, missing, or defective fan blade(s); Incorrect operation information being delivered and sent from the EEC (ENGINE CONTROL COMPUTER).
Not sure what you mean by 'stopped' but the simple answer is yes, it is ok. If the engine is not running, but the key is on with the A/C on, basically, the blower motor is the only thing running - the AC compressor is not engaged and moving freon through the system, cooling the air and blowing cold air. It is ok to do this, but the air will quickly warm up. If the… Read More
Look for a broken blade on the radiator cooling fan(s), if one is cracked, it will throw the whole fan off balance.
The AC condenser would effect the performance of the AC system in the car.
Was told to check the ac cluch relay ( 4 dollar part ) or the low refrigerant sensor ( may be defective if have plenty of refrigerant. ) or ac clutch . My wifes car will work great, then stop cooling and usually will not come back on but if does, again, works great. not sure but think compressor stops....
Be sure the cooling fans are functioning when the ac is running.
