od light is the overdrive unit on the transmission. If you drive on the freeway you should have the overdrive unit on, on the streets the unit should be off. The light usually doesn't have anything to do with overheating. I would look for some other issue.
It means that you do not have stick shift in your car, your car shifts gears for you, you don't have to do it, so basically if you don't have a stick shift car you have an automatic transmission car.

This information can be found in your owner's manual. Don't have one, get one. Dealer or salvage yard is a source.
Because your car is getting hot!
It is actually to "improve" the shifts of the automatic transmission. I can tell a difference when I do this but it does use more gas and I don't like that. It is not really a sporty car so I have a sports car to drive if I want firmer shifts.
It is informing you that your car is not currently using traction control. It will flash when your car is not getting proper traction from the tires.
you change it by getting a hammer and hit the CAR.
Your car is locked
No shifts...jerky shifts....engine faster while car does not. All this while tranny has a full fluid level. Low level can cause the first three.

Low stands for Low Gear or 1st gear in the transmission.(I), is one I have never seen. If you mean 1 then that is 1st gear.
