When you touch it the mother will notice the scent is different or if this was her first litter she doesn't know how to take care of them or you looked in the cage alot times and the got stressed so she eats them rejects them or just takes care of them like a normal mouse mom :) Hope this helps
She won't feed them or she will eat them
Female mice will mostly have from 6-12 babies at a time. Some Female might have more or less than that. There really is no right answer to this.
As long as there is one male mouse and one female mouse in the same cage there will most likely be babies.
Not really... the male mouse will probably mate with her shortly after she gives birth and this can put stress on the mother, and could cause her to eat her babies.
when your female sex cells develope or when u start seeing ur period
Mice can have from 3 to 10 babies, called pinkeys, my mouse had 7 babies and the other mom had 6, it depends on the female.
It will not matter if they mated or not, the female will still attack the male.
if she gets a little heavier and if later on in pregnancy the babies start to show and the female looks "lumpy" because of the babies in her.
the males will eat and kill the babies
The female if not sepersted from the male will get pregnant with in 24 hours. Be very careful because that can be risky the female will get to stressed from all the babies and feeding she will start killing them. DON'T PUT THEM TOGETHER UNTIL THE BABIES ARE AT LEAST 4 WEEKS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You might be able to foster the babies with another nursing mouse, or even a female mouse who isn't nursing--mice are able to lactate when needed, but it might take awhile for that to kick in. You might have to foster the babies yourself. This site will tell you more: http://www.thefunmouse.com/info/orphanedmice.cfm.
no. the mother mouse would only kill its baby if it was dead or sick! if the others are healthy she will not kill them.
