on a Mazda 626 there is a fuel pump relay check to see if you have a power signal from the relay to the pump, if so make sure there is power to the pump.

A 2000 Mazda 626 gas tank will hold approximately 17 gallons of gas. This includes the two gallons of reserve gas that the vehicle holds.

why does my car turn of when i push the gas

Most cars these days use unleaded gas or diesel. Check your owners manual to make sure what type the Mazda 626 uses.

Follow the fuel line from the engine to the tank.

The 1998 Mazda 626 DX sedan fuel tank holds 16.9 gallons of gas. It gets 26 miles per gallon in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. The '98 626 produces 125 horsepower at 5,500 rpm.

Because, strangely, you need gas to start a car.

On a 1997 Mazda 626 4-cyl, the (electric) fuel pump is located inside the gas tank.

The 1995 Mazda 626 fuel pump relay switch can be found attached to the frame, next to the gas tank. The relay switch should be labeled as such.

The fuel filter on a 1999 Mazda 626 LX 4-cylinder is located in the rear of the vehicle. It is in the fuel line in front of the gas tank.

im not sure but i think instead of the carb getting gas from a hose, there is a fuel injector that injects the gas into the carb.

The key word you used is "to". Does that mean that you've taken the gas line off and gas is not getting to the carburetor? Or that gas is not getting in the carburetor? If it is not getting to the carb then there is a blockage in the gas tank, gas line or gas filter. If it is getting to the carb and just not getting inside then it is probably a stuck float valve. Sometimes just a little tapping on the side of the bowl will free it up enough to work. If not, you will have to remove the carb and free up the stuck parts.

It's in the gas tank, u have to drop the gas tank to remove it. Kinda time consuming!!!

if you hav fuel injection, id say its in the gas tank, if not follow gas line from the carb.

It should hold 16.9 gallons. I got this information from driverside.com

Trouble code P0401 means:Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected

It's inside the gas tank, u have to drop the gas tank down and out to pull the pump from it, time consuming!!!

Is it a V6, if it is then the fuel pump is located inside the gas tank. You have to drop the gas tank down and remove it from the tank itself.

If you are getting gas into the float bowl, I would say your jets are clogged. Take the carb off, pull the idle and main jet out, soak them and blow them out with air. Make sure you can blow through them before reinstalling them in the carb. This should solve your problem.

Adjust your carb, otherwise, it's a problem with gas getting to the carb while accelerating.

Could be a bad ignition switch if it tries to start but will not start all the way once you release the key.

its probably not getting gas to the engine. clean your carb out and look at the reeds. if not you dont have enough compression to pull gas into it. its probably not getting gas to the engine. clean your carb out and look at the reeds. if not you dont have enough compression to pull gas into it.

make sure fuel is getting to the carb, clean your carb and jets (in carb) check spark plug, kick harder, give it some gas if a 2 stroke

Typically this means that the carburetor needs to be cleaned. The ports in the carb are not getting enough gas through them because they are gummed up from old gas sitting in the carb.
