Great question! I much prefer the nice translucent bottles from the recent past. Hope someone provides a reasonable answer!

Some say it is because they are now using recycled plastic and it is easier (and no doubt cheaper) to colour it than make it translucent.

I dont know but i just made peanut brittle for the third time ever. The first batch turned dark but was perfect taste and consistency. The second batch was perfect all the way around. This third batch turned green and also was a little sticky. I have searched Google but have not got any answers. Good luck.
