I believe that it's alcohol (ethyl or rubbing- not sure which).
Rubbing alcohol comes in a few varieties but all can be simply wiped on a surface, or on the skin, to kill bacteria.70% isopropanol (isopropal alcohol) is the main ingredient in many hand sanitizers, and is sometimes the only ingredient - so save your money and buy a 95 cent bottle of rubbing alcohol rather than a $6.00 bottle of "hand sanitizer".Rubbing alcohol is also available as 99% isopropanol, and as 95% ethanol (ethyl alcohol).
yes
You may remove sap from clothing by using rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth to rub it off. You can also use hand sanitizer or peanut butter.
Hand sanitizer is made of water, isopropyl alcohol, glycerin, carbomer, fragrance, aminomethyl propanol, propylene glycol, isopropyl myristate and tocopheryl acetate. It is basically alcohol and water, with a bit of fragrance thrown in. The bottle of Purell Hand Sanitizer on my desk notes that the active ingredient is 62% ethyl alcohol.
The principal flammable component is rubbing alcohol.

I wouldn't recommend it as most hand sanitizer has alcohol in it and alcohol will take the color out of your bag.
The alcohol is evaporating, sucking some warmth from your hand as it does, making it feel cool.
You can, but what I always do to avoid the potency of the hand sanitizer is just put some rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and spray it on the mouthpiece.
