saponification is considered to be the reverse process of an esterification reaction due to the fact that esterification is combining an alcohol and a carboxylic acid but a saponification is breaking apart the ester by adding an NaCl molecule (soap) to the chain of carbons.

Is heat is needed when alcohol are esterified with fatty acid in presence of concentreted hcl?

I THINK ESTERIFICATION IS A PROCESS THAT NEED HEAT. HERE CONCENTRATED HCl AND H2SO4 IS ADDED AS CATALYST. THIS REACTION IS REVERSE OF HYDROLYSIS OF ESTER

What describes a reaction that reaches equilibrium?

The product and reactants reach a final, unchanging level.

If you have a forward reaction and reverse reaction occurring together what type of reaction is that?

reversible reaction

What substance is needed to reverse a biochemical reaction?

Redox is what is needed to reverse a biochemical reaction. The redox is used in science.

Which factors must be equal in a reversible chemical reaction at equilibrium?

the rate of te forward reaction and the rate of the reverse reaction

How are reaction rate and equilibrium connected?

At equilibrium, the reaction rate of the forward reaction and the reverse reaction are equal to one another. This means that the products of the forward reaction are being made at the same speed as the products of the reverse reaction.

If you have a forward reaction to a reverse reaction what equilibrium is that?

true or false

In chemistry what is completion?

going to an end is the removal of a product from a reaction, not permitting the reverse reaction to take place. The formation of a precipitate, gas or un-ionized compounds, such as water, are the requirements to go to completion. Once a reaction has gone to completion, the product can not form the reactants in a reverse reaction (there is no reverse reaction).

What is a property of a reaction that has reached equilibrium?

the rate of the forward reaction is greater than the rate of the reverse reaction.

What is a reaction in a balancing equation?

When an equation is balanced, the rate of the forward reaction equals the rate of the reverse reaction.
