Sea water is more dense because the minerals, especially salt, make it more dense.
A ship will sink more easily, when in fresh water instead of sea water, as the fresh water is less dense, due to a lack of salt in it. The density of any object affects how well it's able to float.
it depend on the density of the water . fresh water is more dense than sea water. therefor human can float on sea water easier than fresh water. divers are good at water density.
Because sea water is more dense than regular water
The sea contains salt, which makes the water lots more dense. The water is then somehow easyer to float on. In the dead sea there is so much salt water, it is imposible to drown without forcefully holding your head under water

Sea water and fresh water does not have the same density because sea water has salt, which makes it more dense than fresh water Sea water and fresh water does not have the same density because sea water has salt, which makes it more dense than fresh water
Salt water is more dense than fresh water. A ship would float higher at sea, and lower on a fresh water inland lake.

Fresh water...

In the Mediterranean Sea the cool dense water sinks under less dense water which is called density current.

It's easier to float in salty water because the water is not dense compared to fresh water. No its not! The other way around! The salt water is MORE dense than that of fresh water, so you float easier: there are more particles in that given space. :)
Because the the sea water contains salt, which increases the density of the water. Therefore, the ships becomes even less dense than the water, making it float higher.
