well, some aren't, some 6th grades are in middle school, mines still in elementary school still, but ill tell you why. It's because there are 12 grades all together so they put K-6 in elementary school which is half, then they put 3 grades (7th 8th 9th) in middle school then 10th 11th 12th in high school because 3 plus 3 is 6 and 6 plus 6 is 12 and there's 12 all together!! hope i helped! :)
