There is something rather than nothing because the state of nothing is UNSTABLE.

But that gives the state of nothing a property - instability. You might argue that absolutely nothing has no time dimension and therefore stability is irrelevant. Time has to pass if there is a change of state. Without time, there cannot be change and therefore instability is impossible.
