The world appears smooth and continuous because we are not sensitive to the small scale microworld of the quanta
Quantum Space happened in 1989.
Quantum Space was created in 1989.
At a large scale yes, but on a small scale no.
Quantum theory. A quantum is a discrete amount of something.
It's the study of the actions and properties of matter at a very small scale, where quantum rules hold rather than relativity.
Because space is not empty, it has a Quantum Ether.
Well i don't know too much about this to explain it fully, but, in short, quantum foam is what supposedly makes up quarks and other fundamental components of electrons. At this minute scale all laws of physics hold no weight whatsoever. Particles are created and destroyed, space and time loose their smooth composure... Its very fascinating. I encourage you to look into this more!
An example of a health weight scale would be the Digital Quantum Scale. This scale does not show your weight. It records your weight the first time you step on it, and from then on only shows how much weight you have gained or lost.
Quantum mechanics is the description of the Universe, mainly on very small scales, as in subatomic particles. It has many weird aspects, that we are not accustomed to in our daily (large-scale) life. You can read an introduction to quantum mechanics, among other things, in the Wikipedia article "Introduction to quantum mechanics".
In quantum mechanics, it is often necessary to separate how things appear and how things are/could be. For example, when I stand on the floor, it appears to be solid without any breaks, but on a quantum scale, it is mostly empty space. In this example, my subjective opinion of the floor differs from the objective quantum reality of the floor. What we call "reality" behaves in different ways depending on the perspective. The objectively real or objective reality is a term to describe the way things are, not how they seem.
The Large Scale Structure of Space-Time was created in 1973.
