Texting got big because it was a way to talk to someone without needed to leave the room like you do when someone calls you and its more private then talking back into the phone where people can hear you. Also because people more like teens like it much better than calling and emailing and post mail also called snail mail. It was better than snail mail because it has faster. It was better than email because instead of having an account and signing in and on texting you just click texting and you type. And calling like i said elarier its just easier thx

It depends on your viewpoint. Calling is efficient and allows people to communicate quicker and more efficiently. Texting allows you to communicate without using your voice or hearing the other person's voice. Some people prefer this. The messages can be easily retrived. Well for some ppl it is but i think for kids texting is better! Do u see much older ppl these days textin? Dere mostly callin.. So for kids & some teenagers think texting is much better than calling! & for adults they think calling is better than texting! Adults & kids have other point of views
