It takes so long because people are uploading videos to Youtube every day, every minute, every 5 seconds. So basically Youtube lags alot like a game that has 100000 explosions in it and starts to lag it. An upload is basically a piece of memory taken up. If you wanna upload quick, the best time would be on Sundays or anytime around 2~8 o'clock maybe? At some times, your videos may only take 30 minutes to upload. Sometimes, you should just wait for the next 3 hours. You should not upload from a really slow computer because that will just maximise the waiting time. Other than that, you should be able to upload a maximum of at least 3 videos a day. (If you keep uploading 24/7 you might be able to upload 15 videos or more) When no-one is uploading basically your uploads may only take the time of the duration of your video.
The upload of data failed in the early morning hours. They were unable to handle the upload to the server through the current infrastructure.
Youtube only allows up to 10 minutes on average per video. So you won't be able to see the full movie anyways... but if you really want to you can have up to 10 hours but you get a text or phone call or whatever
YouTube Maintenance is when YouTube is going through updates, you can't rate, comment, or favorite any videos while it is going on. You can't reply to comments or messages either. You also can't send videos or edit your profile. You can't even upload new videos! It's a real pain and it usually lasts 5-9 hours. Sources: Two years of experience on YouTube.
try not having to many programs open when your up loading. that might help, but other wise it might be bad internet. it could also be the kind of file your uploading. Also: When was the last time you swept your computer for viruses, adware, malware, spyware ... all the things you don't want that can be downloaded to you without you knowing it ?
A brand new YouTube user with the latest version of their web browser installed can upload a video 15 minutes in length and 20 gigabytes (GB) in file size. If a user has accumulated a good track record of obeying YouTube's rules, they can choose to upgrade their maximum video length to 12 hours for free.
You first need to record whatever video you want to upload, then you need to transfer it onto your computer. Then you need to to create a YouTube account if you do not already have one. Sign into your YouTube account, then scroll to the right of the page where it says upload. Click on that, and choose which video from your computer you want to upload and wait until it's finished uploading. Uploading can take from five to two hours depending on the length of the video.
Approximately 10 hours.
When you first upload a video to youtube it takes time to show up in search. If you've waited a few hours and it still isn't showing up then go to my videos and under the video you have uploaded it should tell you if it has been rejected or if there was some other problem.
