The Connecticut School of Broadcasting is licensed by each State in which they reside, and all 11 campuses are approved by each state's board of community colleges and/or proprietary school licensing board. I think what you're asking is why they do not qualify for Federal Accreditation, a designated classification that enables them to receive title IV funding, and other federal benefits. My guess would be that they do not want to drag out classes for years, just to get as much government money as possible. Other school directors tell me they like the idea that most students pay their own way without government assistance, often leading to more dedicated and hard working individuals. I suspect another part of it is that they don't want to deal with the massive regulation and bureaucracy that comes with most government programs. This school specializes in part in "new media", which is ever changing. If they had to endure a federal accreditation process, they would not be as nimble when it comes to teaching the latest technology. Each school has a campus director, and he or she should be able to give you a more detailed answer. Hope that was helpful.
